2000 April 13Fuckin monkey boy

I got a haircut today because there wasn’t enough time to get my taxes done and still go meet up with chris to play pinball. Tomorrow, taxes, but tonight I look like freaking curious george cuz the barber I went to was wack. It was on 45th st right by lexington. Don’t get the guy with the comb-over. I should have known. I wonder if the man in the big yellow hat will claim me as a dependent this year

2000 February 1Biffbigtime

Biffbigtime is a name I use for online games. It sounds real snobby and collegiate but comes from what my old friend Pete and I used to call wiping out. If you fell over with a large tray of hors d’oeuvres, Pete and I might say you biffed big time. That and then laugh at you in the way only teenage boys can.

Today I was walking along 46th street right in front of my work, and this guy stepped off the curb and fell flat on his belly into the street. For a second I was mortified that a car would smack into him, but he got up and brushed himself and kept going. About a half a block later I started giggling like a sophmore.

2000 January 10I died a shameful death

I have been playing a web based space war game that my pal joe turned me on to. You fly around space visiting ports, and try to buy commodities at a cheap rate to sell for a profit at a different port. With the money you buy fighters, with the fighters you kill others, and take thier money to buy more fighters. It’s pretty standard. i got sucked in because it’s still not really finished yet and the programmer who is making it actively seeks suggestions to help improve it. At one point, improvements were being made while we were all playing, you’d post an idea on the game’s bbs and a few turns later, poof! There it was.

I thought I had a great strategy worked out, but I made dumb mistake tonight that ended my game. Oh well. on a less frivolous death related note, sandy and I went to see a showing of classroom educational films from the 50’s at the museum of the moving image, right here in queens. It couldn’t have been a better time. The crowd was pretty stoked, too, we all laughed alot. I brought my little video camera, and hopefully I got some shots worth posting up here.
