I can’t see movies shot in new york now without spotting location gaffes. This really spoils movies for me. Creating a sense of space in a movie is really important for me to sustain the illusion of reality. I saw Bait tonight and there was a scene where jamie foxx gets on the subway way downtown and then in the next shot the train is pulling into the station at 23rd street. After Bait I snuck into see Nurse Bbetty. Kind of a mixed bag evening.

Walking with our posse to the subway last night to get to our new year’s party, we passed a man getting turned away from the local movie house, which must have closed up early for the night.
